For theaters, venues and dinner shows
Tickets with numbered seats, tables and sections
Chicle is online ticketing with a seating map. You draw your venue with numbered seats, tables and sections, set a price per section, and buyers pick their spot on the map before paying. Each ticket has a QR that shows the location when scanned. It's free for organizers: the buyer pays a service fee.
Free for organizers. The buyer pays a 13% service fee.
What's included
What seated ticketing does
- 01
Your venue map
Rows of seats that number themselves (1A, 1B…), tables, sections with capacity, and labels for the stage or the bar. Draw it once and use it for every show.
- 02
Price per section
Each section or seat type (orchestra, balcony, VIP, table for 4) has its own price and stock. You can take specific seats off sale.
- 03
Buyers pick their spot
On the web and in the Chicle app, the buyer picks the seat or table on the map and sees live what's already sold.
- 04
No double sales
The spot is held while the buyer pays, for 15 minutes or any time you choose between 2 and 60, and it's never sold twice.
- 05
Each show, its own stock
A play with several dates: each show has its own tickets and occupancy. Plus timed release tiers, free tickets and code-protected tickets.
- 06
QR with the location
Each ticket has its own QR. The buyer sees the location in the email and on the ticket, and your staff sees it when scanning at the door.
How it works
From the map to the door
- 1
You draw the map
Seats, tables and sections in the dashboard editor. Just once.
- 2
You create the event
Pick the map and Chicle builds the tickets by section. You set the prices.
- 3
Buyers pick and pay
They choose their spot on the map and pay with Mercado Pago. Their ticket arrives with its QR.
- 4
You scan and get paid
At the door you scan the QR and see the location. The money is released 2 business days after the event.
How much it costs
Free
Selling with a seating map is on the Free plan. The buyer pays a 13% service fee on each ticket, or 4% if you collect with your own Mercado Pago account, subject to approval.
- Maps, online sales, scanner and promoter links on the Free plan.
- Free tickets at no cost.
- Your money, 2 business days after the event.
- Box office sales with seat selection: on paid plans.
- Invitations where the guest picks their spot: with the quota of paid plans or a pack.
Before you choose
What seated ticketing doesn't do
- It doesn't mark accessible seats on the map.
- Prices are set per section or seat type, not seat by seat.
- There are no season passes, resale or ticket transfers between people.
- It doesn't issue Apple Wallet or Google Wallet passes: the ticket is a QR sent by email and kept in Chicle.
- You can't use a photo of a floor plan as the background: the map is drawn in the editor.
Frequently asked questions
Which ticketing platform works for a theater with numbered seats?
Chicle works if you want to draw your own venue, let buyers pick their seat on the map and pay nothing to sell: the buyer pays the service fee. If you need season passes, accessible seats marked on the map or a different price for each seat, Chicle doesn't have them today.
Can I sell whole tables at a dinner show?
Yes. You draw the tables and each one is sold whole at the price of its type, for example "Table for 4", with as many QR codes as guests. If you'd rather sell spot by spot, draw each chair as its own location or sell capacity by section without fixed spots.
How much does it cost to sell with a seating map?
Nothing for the organizer: it's on the Free plan. The buyer pays a 13% service fee on each ticket's price, or 4% if you collect with your own Mercado Pago account, subject to approval.
When do I get paid?
Chicle collects through Mercado Pago and releases your money 2 business days after the event ends, never before Mercado Pago credits it. You withdraw it from the dashboard; we only ask for your bank details when you withdraw.
What if two people pick the same seat?
The first one to reach checkout gets it: the seat is held while they pay. If, in a rare case, it were paid twice, Chicle refunds the second purchase automatically.
Does it work for a play with many shows?
Yes. You add the dates to the same event and each show has its own stock and occupancy, with the same tickets for all dates or different ones per date. If you cancel a show, Chicle handles the refunds automatically.
